Happy New Year! 2012! Wow it is so crazy to think that it has been nearly 9 yrs since my first version of Mickey Rourke Walls hit the Internet. That's a long time. The amount of sites and information dedicated to Mickey Rourke has grown sooo much since then. I remember us at The Mickey Rourke Forum (back then) doing major searches to find any bit of info or news as to when Mickey was going to do another movie. We'd sit on bended knees with our ears to the ground trying to hear anything, anything Mickey Rourke related. Although Mickey's fanbase grew after Robert Rodriguez's Sin City and even moreso after his Oscar Nomination for his performance in The Wrestler, us long time fans know that it was little movies like Get Carter and Spun that got us reeling about a Mickey Rourke Comeback! We couldn't be more happy and pleased with his work thus far and know that an Oscar is truly around the corner. He is really deserving.

As you who visit my site know I have been lacking on the updates dept. over the past year and well all I can say is life has a way of creeping up on you and prioritizes your days, nights, weekends,(having a grandson truly helped with this (smile)). So with that said I am afraid I am going to have to put MRW on a long hiatus. I am just too busy to keep up with all the goodies about Mickey these days... I am keeping the site up as is so you can still grab goodies and what not, but will no longer post any updates. I will keep the updates page up for a short while before moving all its contents to the appropriate pages. Also keep checking the Photo of the month. If I get cool pics of Mickey I just may change that one periodically. Plus you can still email me if you would like a pic for your collection. I have really enjoyed all my time spent on this site and all the friends I have made. Please continue to visit and enjoy the site. Until next time.
